Cooking any WellyChef bowl

  1. Cook the meat until fully done (165°F / 74°C for poultry and ground meat), plain, with no salt, onion, garlic or seasoning. Drain and chop or crumble.
  2. Cook the grain plain in water until soft and weigh it cooked. Steam or boil the vegetables until tender, then chop finely or purée.
  3. Cool everything to room temperature, weigh each ingredient and mix in a large bowl.
  4. Stir in the oil. Then weigh the VMsure and stir it in evenly; heat damages vitamins, so always after cooling.
  5. Add the fish oil at serving time, not during cooking. Keep the bottle sealed in the fridge.
  6. Split the day's amount into two meals. Refrigerate up to 3 days; freeze single portions for up to 2 months.

Swap the protein

Chicken thigh, chicken breast, turkey, lean beef, lamb and pork loin all keep the starter bowls at A+ when swapped one for one; the builder re-sizes the grams. Change one protein at a time and give it a week.

Rotate for variety

Two or three proteins across a month adds variety without upsetting digestion. The Bowl Builder's recipe page lists the swaps that keep your bowl balanced.
